As there is only one election district in the Village of Speculator, no special canvass of votes is required. However, the following is a list of the election results that will be included in the minutes book for the history of the Village.

Jeannette Barrett – 28 votes
Kenneth C. Morrison – 7 votes
Farrell Call – 1 vote
Barbara Tracy – 1 vote

TRUSTEES
Mark Donecker – 33 votes
Deborah Jorgensen – 32 votes
Barbara Tracy – 2 votes
Farrell Call – 2 votes
Shorty Hoffmann – 1 vote

General Election resulted in the election of Jeannette Barrett as Mayor to serve a two (2) year term, and Mark Donecker and Deborah Jorgensen as Trustees to serve two (2) year terms, commencing April 7, 2025, in accordance with state statute.

SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
General Job Description

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Plan and implement systematic maintenance programs for DPW; develop, motivate, and coach staff; anticipate training needs of staff; communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public; prepare and monitor a budget; keep accurate paper and computer records of work performed by section; operate light and heavy equipment as required by the position; operate vehicles under various weather conditions; analyze problems and suggest a solution. The Superintendent of Public Works is appointed yearly by the mayor and approved by the Trustees of the Village of Speculator.

The Superintendent of Public Works works Monday through Friday or as required by the Village. Competitive wages based on experience.
